This fun and hands-on Fish Class provides a fantastic selection of skills and recipes for learning about filleting, cooking and presenting fish and seafood.

Evenings 7pm – 10.30pm (dinner and bottomless booze included)

Dietary requirements can be catered for on request

Description

Our specialised Fish Class will provide you with all of the fish and seafood basics to help you prepare and cook fish like a pro!

The class will start with a demonstration that will cover:

Scallops
En Papillote
Salt Baked Fish
Moules Mariniere
Tuna Steak with a Salsa
Squid – Calamari with homemade Sweet Chilli

You will of course get the chance to try all of the delicious and perfectly cooked food that is demonstrated before shooting off to have a stab at cooking the protein for your own 2 courses. You will carefully fillet and cook a sea bass for your main course and cook your scallop to perfection for your starter. The chefs will be going round helping you and will have given you all the tips and tricks, including how to tell when your fish is cooked to perfection! No more rubbery scallops!

Having cooked up a storm, you will dine round our beautiful table with the rest of the group!

    I recently spent a most enjoyable evening at the Avenue Cookery School’s Fish Cooking Evening. I came away with 10 recipes, some of them demonstrated, some cooked myself and all of them tasted. There were lots of tips from a great mother & son combo who also seemed to be enjoying passing on their skills enormously. I would definitely recommend this.

    This is a truly amazing course taught by Diana. You’ll learn so much, scallops, calamari, tuna, salt baked fish, fried fish, mussels, truly amazing. I leant to fillet a fish too, with great tips. Have tried the recipes at home a few times now.
