The Really Useful Course is suitable for those looking to gain the basic foundations of cooking. It specialises in teaching a unique mix of cooking and useful everyday skills. By the end of this 5-day intensive programme you will have progressed from a tentative cook to a confident one.
The Really Useful Course has been designed to guide inexperienced cooks through a week of well planned, transferrable recipes and techniques. We offer hands-on cooking with plenty of help and support. By the end of the week you will be able to whip out a dish without a recipe in site – we teach an understanding of cooking rather than merely following a recipe! You will be surprised how much you will learn!
Each day has 2 demonstrations, both in the morning and the beginning of the afternoon, getting ready for your cooking. You will cook everything you eat!
On Thursday, after a wine tasting, there is the, now famous, dinner party for students to showcase their cooking talents to their friends/family. This popular dinner is organised, cooked and hosted by our very own students – a fantastic introduction to cooking for numbers. Invite a couple of family members or friends to show off your new found skills!
