Where has September gone?! We’re already at that time of the month where we celebrate our Avenue Amigo and this month, it’s the lovely Chloe!
Chloe Farwell
Chloe actually took part on our Yacht Host Course in August 2020, during those blissful few months where we thought the world was going to be normal again!
We asked Chloe what her favourite thing to cook is, and she said it had to be fresh pasta all day, every day!! “I bought a pasta machine at the Avenue and I haven’t stopped using it!” We have to agree here, you can’t really beat fresh pasta! If you fancy learning how to make your own, why not check out our incredible Pasta Workshop here or go the whole hog and do 3 courses at our Italian Class🍝
When asked, which was her favourite dish that she learnt at The Avenue, Chloe said, “My favourite meal has to have been the Moroccan Feast at the end of the two weeks. We had a great time creating such a colourful, flavourful plates full of food! But I also LOVED making the doughnuts!”
Knowing lockdown was driving us all a little crazy, we asked Chloe if she’d cooked anything a bit out of the ordinary in the kitchen and she said, “I started lockdown with the classic sourdough, as did everyone it seems, but my starter is currently sat dormant in the fridge, I’m hoping to revive it soon!” We’re sure it’ll be absolutely delicious when it comes to fruition!
We asked Chloe which class she’d like to take part in at the school and she said, “I’d love to do one of the classes that would transport me around the world, such as Mexican, Greek or Sri Lankan.” Well, it’s safe to say we’ve got plenty of ‘around the world’ choices at the school! 🌎 – see our International Classes by clicking here.
Chloe’s final comments were, “The Avenue was the most amazing place to learn for anyone needing a bit of confidence or reassurance in their skills and to learn the best tips on how to cook without a recipe, all the chefs, especially Diana, were so energetic and made the whole experience especially exciting and engaging. I’m still in touch with the people I learnt with over the two weeks as well which is lovely!! Down to my experience on the course and what I learnt, I’ve been accepted into the Quarterdeck academy this spring as a Yacht Host, so fingers crossed I can get out to Croatia to be able to work for the yacht week this summer!!”
I can say with confidence that we all wish Chloe the best of luck in her future, and thank you again, for being such a wonderful Avenue Amigo! 😊
