Meet Ella, August 2024’s Amigo of The Month! Ella Joined our 2 week Yacht Host Course ahead of heading to New York to study Music ooh laa laa Here about her cooking journey below

How did you hear about The Avenue?
“I looked up ‘Best Cookery Schools In London’ and The Avenue was the first one that popped up!” Glad to hear we’re considered the best!

How long have you been joining classes?
“I joined onto the two week Yacht Host Course in May 2024″

Which classes have you done?
“I’ve done the Yacht Host Course so far”

What was your favourite class at The Avenue?
“I really loved the Thai day in the second week, where we made delish Green Thai Curry!” I think our Thai Cooking Class would be right up your street!

What’s your favourite dish to cook that you learnt with us?
“I found the Kedgeree really fun and easy to make”

What was your favourite dish to eat at The Avenue?
“The Chicken Thigh stuffed with Garlic Butter and Celeriac Mash!

What is the most obscure thing you have made in the kitchen?
“Making Gnocchi without a recipe off the bat” So impressive after just a week off learning to cook, you clearly don’t need to join our Gnocchi Workshop!

What class would you like to do in the future?
“I would love to do the Mexican Street Food Class and learn all those delicious Mexican dishes”

Any final comments?
“I had a great couple of weeks at The Avenue, making great friends along the way. I would definitely recommend to anyone!”
