We’ve had a lot going on this week in our kitchens, with an extraordinary pasta class taught by our amazing Italian chef, a scrumptious Dinner Party Dining class, and some extra special birthday celebrations!
Monday brought with it Diana’s 60th, and she celebrated the culinary occasion with a trip with her loved ones to Dinner by Heston in the evening. Happy Birthday Diana!
The Avenue family were put quickly back to work on Tuesday, with Diana teaching the wonderful and multi-talented marathon runner-come-chef Zoe North, and Richard teaching his group of little ones at our After School Class in the evening. We welcomed an old pal back into our kitchens on Tuesday, the fantastic Orla, who has just returned from her ski season and will be working with us again throughout the summer – it’s great to have you back Orla!
Wednesday brought with it our Ladies Who Lunch Class in the morning. The lovely ladies whipped up Pancetta Wrapped Chicken Ballotine, Stuffed with Mushrooms, followed by a sweet little Pecan Tart and a Coffee Ice Cream for pudding! We didn’t stop there though, and quickly set-up for our Pasta Workshop Supper Club in the evening. For this, we welcomed our fantastic Italian chef Stefano Imperiale to teach us all how to make and roll pasta the Italian way! By the end, the class were shaping like pros, and tucked into their homemade Pear and Ricotta Ravioli at the end of the class! Buon appetito!
On Thursday we hosted our highly popular Dinner Party Dining Class. Students got to cook up a fabulously sophisticated three-course menu of Iced Tomato Soup with Parmesan Croutons, followed by Apricot Stuffed Ballotine of Chicken with Seasonal Vegetables and Butter Banana Crumble with a Salted Caramel Ice Cream for pudding!
This bank holiday promises to be busy, as Richard will be teaching his popular Sunday Brunch Club, helping them how to get rid of that hangover with the perfect eggs benny, bloody Mary and soda bread!
The office has been super busy this week too, with Sophie and Alice adding new classes to the website, including our #teamMikaere Charity Dinner Class, Spanish Tapas Class and Indian Street Food Class with Hari Ghotya!
