We’ve had almost back-to-back classes at The Avenue this week, and with even more to come at the weekend, so it’s been all systems go!

The kids at our After School Class are coming along really well and this Tuesday saw them prepare and cook chocolate roulade. Some are well on their way to completing their DofE skill section of their award, and it’s great to help them along to such a worthwhile achievement!

Wednesday saw the kitchen buzzing for our Ladies Who Lunch Class. Accompanied by wine and good conversation, the class made a scrumptious Seared Spiced Duck Breast with a Vegetable Stir Fry with Banana Tarte Tartin with Coconut Ice Cream to finish!

That evening, we welcomed in the lovely people from Vodafone UK for a corporate event, and they learnt how to throw together an amazingly simple paella! Delicious!

With Thursday came more corporate classes, with WANO in the morning, closely followed by a macaron class for JLL in the evening (complete with personalised aprons, of course)! It’s really special to have so many great companies choose us for their corporate parties, but you can see why! Check out our range of set and bespoke corporate packages here.

And we are not slowing down for the weekend! On Saturday we are hosting our biggest Ready Steady Bake yet! Richard will be teaching a full house of students a tonne of baking recipes; carrot cake, red velvet cupcakes, shortbread, chocolate brownies and dark chocolate pecan tart! In just three hours, phew!

Sunday starts with a Sunday Brunch Class, where we’ll be shaking off that Saturday-night hangover for the weekend, and making the perfect eggs benedict, soda bread and bloody Mary.

On Sunday afternoon, we are inviting The Food Sauce, along with some fantastic food brands and bloggers into our kitchens for a really special Pancake Day event. We will be whipping together homemade pasta, with pancakes (of course) for dessert, and showcasing some fantastic food brands. We’ll be showing you all the best bits from the day on our Instagram Live, so be sure to follow us at @avenuecookery on that to keep up with all that’s going on!

Next week promises to be a good one too, with our Vegan Class, as well as our first ever Indian Workshop Supper Club.
