Last week was slightly quieter at the cookery school, but even busier for the Horsfords with Sophie tying the knot at her wedding. The whole family travelled down to West Wittering and catered the event, with a little time in-between to soak up the sun and enjoy the party!
On Tuesday we welcomed Catapult into The Avenue for a corporate event. They cooked up a storm in the kitchens, starting off with a Beef Carpaccio with a Cucumber Salad and Duck with Creamy Mashed Potatoes and a Cherry Sauce for main course.
Richard shared tips and tricks for being the perfect Dinner Party Host at the Dinner Party Dining Cookery Class on Wednesday. The group then got to make Tuna and Avocado with a Ginger Lime Dressing, Thai Salmon Papilotte with Coconut Black Rice and a Ginger and Pecan Tart.
We had some more budding bakers in for the Macaron Masterclass on Thursday evening. They learnt all about the French sweet treats and got to make some themselves to take home – although we don’t think many made it out of the cookery school!
We’ve got a busy weekend ahead – starting off with our Vegan Cookery Class tonight and Saturdays Gluten Free Cookery Class focusing on Gluten Free Pasta. On Sunday we round the bank holiday weekend off with a Knife Skills Class where students will be learning to chop, dice, slice and puree to their hearts content while making a delicious three course meal!
