Saj’s first experience of The Avenue, was back in July 2021, when she attended our tantalising Vegan Thai Class. Cooking up an absolute storm for her many (thousands) of followers on social media, Saj just had to come back again and joined us later in the year for the 5-Day Vegan Course and Sri Lankan Class.
We asked Saj what her favourite thing to cook was, and she said, “So many choices – I loved making the Spicy Nut Roast; I learnt so many skills, and the dish had so many colours and textures!”
We then asked, which dish was her favourite at The Avenue and Saj said, “I can’t choose between the Asian Tofu Quiche or the Coconut and Lemon Ice Cream; the Victoria Sponge was fantastic too!” – we can confirm, the sponge cake was indeed, delicious! 🍰
We asked Saj if she’d tried cooking anything crazy during lockdown and she said, “Nothing too crazy on my side – the Vegan Trifle Waffle from scratch was a labour of love!” … and we bet it was worth it too!
When asked which class she’d like to try next, Saj said, “Mexican – I hear it’s a lot of fun and their flavours cross over well with Sri Lankan food, which I love!”
And Saj’s final words, “The Avenue is a fantastic place to learn/improve your cooking skills – the staff are very attentive, friendly and inclusive.”
