Meet Andrea, July 2024’s Amigo of The Month! Andrea is a delight and a welcome familiar face in our kitchen. Hear about her experience with us below:

How did you hear about The Avenue?
“I Googled cookery schools near me, The Avenue popped up. The wide range of classes (including the bottomless booze options!) and the family story of the school were the deciding factors.”

How long have you been joining classes?
“3 years now!”

Which classes have you done?
“The Korean Cooking Class I’ve done twice! The Spanish Tapas Class and The Mexican Street Food Class” Steadily getting through our most popular classes!

What was your favourite class at The Avenue?
“I loved the Spanish Tapas Class”

What’s your favourite dish to cook that you learnt with us?
“The Romesco Sauce I learnt on The Spanish Tapas Class was a highlight”

What was your favourite dish to eat at The Avenue?
“I’m torn between Beef Bulgogi and Churros” Korean and Mexican are 2 of our most popular classes so no surprise there!

What is the most obscure thing you have made in the kitchen?
“Tahini Sponge Cake” This sounds deliciously interesting

What class would you like to do in the future?
“I booked onto The Bao Class to try later this year”

Any final comments?
“The whole experience is welcoming, friendly and lots of fun. I almost forget I am there to learn but somehow amazing food appears and I always have new skills to share” We love to read this – mission accomplished!
