Meet Alicia, May 2024’s Amigo of the Month. After finding a love of cooking during the lockdown, she stumbled upon The Avenue and is now a welcome regular in our kitchen

How did you hear about The Avenue? 
“I got into cooking a lot during the Covid lockdown so I googled cooking classes in London and found The Avenue online!” We love that we have been a big part of your journey into the world of food!

How long have you been joining classes?
“Since August 2020” How time flies! ✈️

Which classes have you done?
“The Pasta Workshop, Intermediate Cookery Course, Cooking The Perfect Roast Class, Ready Steady Bake, Mexican Street Food Class, Middle Eastern Class, Sri Lankan Cooking Class and French Cookery Class!” Great to hear you are enjoying the variety of classes we offer! 

What was your favourite class at The Avenue?
“Definitely the Mexican Street Food Class. I took my best friend, Bunny, for her birthday as we had just travelled Mexico together on our gap year. We made Tacos, Guacamole and Churros and we both thought it tasted better than the food we had in Mexico!” #DropTheMic

What’s your favourite dish to cook that you learnt with us?
“So many to choose from but probably the Almond Biscotti recipe, they are so delicious” A delicious classic e

What was your favourite dish to eat at The Avenue?
“A Crème Brûlée because it’s not the easiest to make but it is so delicious”

What is the most obscure thing you have made in the kitchen?
“Probably Cinnamon Rolls as it’s a long process” But totally worth it!

What class would you like to do in the future?
“I would love to try the Italian Cooking Class and the Indian Cooking Class” And we’d love have you back for some more Italian classics and curry!
