Jude has been cooking with us for over a year and a half and is a regular in our Young Holiday Classes. We caught up with him to hear about his favourite dishes, standout moments, and why he keeps coming back…
How did you first find us?
My friends were doing a Young Holiday Class so I joined them. Friends who cook together, stay together!
How long have you been cooking with us?
Around 1 and half years!
Which Young Holiday classes have you joined so far?
I’ve done loads of the Young Holiday Classes, each week is a different menu, to name a few: Doughnuts, Sushi and Cupcakes, Spaghetti Bolognese, Pizza. Working your way to chef status then!
If you had to pick… which Young Holiday Class was your favourite?
My favourite was the Sushi and Cupcakes menu. The food tasted great and Sushi was so much easier to make than I thought it would be.
What’s your favourite dish to cook that you learnt with us?
Spaghetti Bolognese, it is a hit with all my family, even my fussy little sister. Can’t go wrong with a homemade Spaghetti Bolognese
What’s the best thing you’ve eaten at The Avenue?
Sushi!
What’s the most unexpected or obscure thing you’ve ever made in the kitchen?
Lamb Lollipops!
Which Young Holiday Class menu is next on your wish list?
I am a big fan of desserts so maybe the Chocolate Roulade. We’ll see you there!
Any final comments?
The lessons are really fun to do with friends and I am looking forward to doing more.
