It’s been a big and busy year here at The Avenue, we have gone from strength to strength but, like in any business, not without the odd hurdle.

Sophie joined in January, just weeks after the new website was launched and with both these new additions we added a larger variety of classes to our busy calendar.

We moved into our new premises in June, which has to be said, was built by our main man Richard, along with Horsford brother and father, Oliver and Martin and many more helping hands – primarily the glorious Diana. We faced some difficulties – power cuts, no water in the kitchen during a class so the washing up had to be done from the bathroom sink and severe overheating in the summer months due to a serious lack of air flow and aircon, which needless to say will be sorted for 2017!

During these past 12 months we have kept the kitchens full with a constant flow of classes, hen parties, corporates and private events for both kids and adults. Diana and Richard, as well as the amazing help we have had in our kitchen throughout the year, have been working non-stop in order to keep the kitchen full of fun, food and full bellies!

We want to give a huge shout out to the amazing people who have helped us throughout the year including Jordan, Kiano, Jess, Becky, Seb, Lara, Orla and of course Alice, our new permanent addition to the Avenue Family who has been a whizz on social media and is keeping you all glued to those phones with some fantastic food porn.

To top it all off – as most of you, know we are family run and it too has been a busy year for the Horsford family. Sophie got married on the 21st of December to her Israeli man Shanga, closely following her sister Emily who not only got married to a gorgeous Swede, Olof, in May but also popped out a little one in October who goes by the name Otis.

It isn’t always easy but my god do we love our jobs and we having learnt from the mistakes made and hiccups along the way we have had a fantastic year and thank you all for helping our business grow and for popping in for the odd cuppa and slice of cake.

We wish you a very Happy New Year and hope we will see lots of familiar, and new, faces in 2017!

Check out our range of classes, new to 2017!
