What if I need to cancel my place on a public class or 1 & 2-week course due to COVID? Our strict cancellation terms (see here) still apply unless you have our Avenue COVID Cancellation Cover (read more on this below).
How does the Avenue COVID Cancellation Cover work for my 1 or 2-week course booking? Our strict cancellation terms still apply but, in these times, we have introduced an Avenue COVID Cancellation Cover insurance policy to allow us to be as flexible as possible.
The Avenue COVID Cancellation Cover policy is an additional cost, that will need to be paid for in full when booking your course or before our 1-month cancellation period is active. This will cover a free transfer for COVID related cancellations before and throughout your course and will only be valid with proof of a COVID positive test or proof of an NHS Track & Trace isolation request.
Should you want to sign up to our Avenue COVID Cancellation Cover you can do this on our website here, select the relevant option on the dropdown menu and add to your basket before checking out. Remember to apply insurance for each person booked per course.
What happens if another student tests positive while I am on one of your 1 or 2-week courses? We will tell you who the student is so that you can assess your contact with them.
If you have worked on a table or have come in close contact with them you will need to take a test as a precaution and share a negative result before returning to our kitchen.
We will try to contact those people who have worked on a table with the student directly.
Will I be able to transfer the remainder of my course if I test positive to COVID mid-way through one of your 1- & 2-week courses? If you have taken out our Avenue COVID Cancellation Cover (see details above) and have proof of testing positive for COVID we can move you to another course, date agreed at our discretion.
If you don’t take advantage of our Avenue COVID Cancellation Cover our standard T&C’s will apply (see here).
Will the kitchen be cleaned between each class? Yes, we have a minimum 2-hour slot in-between classes to thoroughly clean the kitchen, loo, and all public areas for the next class.
Will we need to wear a face mask? You will not need to wear a face mask however to ensure maximum protection to you and others we do recommend using one when not eating, drinking and if walking through the kitchen to go to the loo.
Our staff will wear masks when going around the kitchen to make your experience more comfortable.
Will hand sanitiser be provided? Yes, we will have hand sanitiser available for everyone to use on each cooking island and in other areas around the kitchen.
Will there be access to a public loo? Yes, there will be access to a loo and we will have necessary precautions in place to further sterilise, including hand sanitiser on your islands.
Test and Trace – We have the NHS Test and Trace system on arrival where you can scan a QR code and enter your information.
If you have any questions or suggestions please don’t hesitate to get in touch, as you can imagine this has been, and still is, a learning process for us and all involved. Our email is email@example.com.
