It’s been another great week here at The Avenue, and we aren’t slowing down for the weekend, with two kids’ classes and a Ready Steady Bake Class as well!
We kicked off the week with a very exciting Kitchen Hire booking. We can’t give any more details than that, but be sure to watch out for a familiar setting on your screens, coming soon…
Diana taught the wonderful Zoe North again on Wednesday. It’s great to see Zoe growing in both cooking ability and confidence as she goes through her one to one sessions with Diana. She makes a pretty mean choccy roulade too! That evening, we hosted one of our Healthy Eating Classes. Students whipped-up a healthy and delicious Thai Basil Chicken with White Rice and a very yummy Healthy Fruit Bar with Green Apple Sorbet for pudding.
We continued the healthy eating theme through until the next evening too, as we put-on our first Sexy Salads Class. In just three-hours, the class made a huge array of yummy salads, not limited to Caramelised Endive with Gruyere Cheese and Breadcrumbs, Chickpea Salad, Asian Quinoa Salad, Cauliflower and Feta Salad, Prawn and Fennel Salad and Pan-Fried Sea Bass with a Sweet Chilli Sauce! Phew!
We aren’t giving ourselves a break for the weekend either! On Saturday we will be celebrating the lovely Ella’s 10th Birthday, making mocktails to mark the occasion.
On Sunday, we are getting our Mary Berry on with another massive Ready Steady Bake Class. Richard will be teaching the class how to make Carrot Cake, Red Velvet Cupcakes, Shortbread and our special Avenue Brownies! Yummy! That afternoon, we also have our Kids Weekend Cookery Class, and will be making Mediterranean Chicken with Roasted Vegetable Couscous, teaching the little ones the very valuable life skill of cookery, whilst sharing lots of fun and laughter too!
Next week promises to be just as special as the last, with TWO brand new classes, introducing our Thai Class and Peruvian Class. As well as some old faves too!
