There’s never a dull moment here at The Avenue and this week was no exception. We kicked off the Bank Holiday weekend by creating a variety of Vegan delights at our Vegan Cooking Class, like our Chocolate Avocado Mousse with Fresh Raspberries – perfect for any dinner party menu! We also tucked into a crunchy Falafel Salad with Tahini Dressing, Sesame Crusted Tofu with beautiful Asian Herb Salad and home made Sweet Chilli Dressing – the perfect light dinner in this hot weather!

At our ever popular Gluten Free Class on Saturday Morning, students got stuck in making Flat Breads with Beetroot Dip to enjoy whilst they were busy cooking. They learnt how to make GF Tagliatelle with a Spinach Pesto and rounded off the afternoon with a GF batch of our irresistible Avenue Chocolate Brownies – delicious!

There was no lazy Sunday for us at The Avenue this week – the Knife Skills Class practiced all the skills students might need in the kitchen. They whipped up Spiced Butternut Squash Soup, Ratatouille with Sea Bass and Tomato Coulis, and satisfied their sweet tooth with some Caramelised Oranges.

Richard has been busy in Putney teaching the lovely people at Original Travel how to make their own sushi at their offices. We’re looking forward to seeing them all in our kitchens hopefully soon!

Next week we are back into gear after Half Term. We’ll be teaching the little ones how to cook at our Kids Weekend Cooking Class, and After School Cooking Classes. And the adults how to make quick, easy and delicious mid-week meals at our Simple Suppers Class on Wednesday evening!
