Beer Battereed Fish
(Serves 4)

4 cod fillets
125g flour, plus a bit extra to coat the fish
2 tsp paprika
1 egg
1 bottle beer  (300ml)
vegetable/rapeseed oil for frying


Season the cod with salt

In a saucepan heat the oil to 185 degrees.

In a bowl mix the flour with the paprika and stir in the egg mixing well before whisking in the beer slowly.

On a plate put some flour and coat the  fish.

Dip the fish into the batter, and then into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.

Drain on a rack.
