Heya, everyone!!
As always, we’ve got lots to fill you in on…
As most of you will be aware, we’ve been super busy this month and have swiftly sailed our way through the week with the help of our trusty Yacht Hosting Course students. Ahoy!
Lookin’ good crew…
Not only have we almost completed our 3rd week of show-stopping foodie Courses, but we’ve travelled the globe (almost…) and met even more keen foodies along the way at Wycombe Abbey’s Gap Fair! We’ll be heading off to Downe House Gap Fair and Surrey Food Fair this weekend so if you’d like to grab a free brownie… you know where we are. 😉
Today is National Garlic Day and who doesn’t love a huge slice of Garlic Bread on a Thursday afternoon? Whether you’re looking for a simple yet delicious snack, an added extra to your already mouth-watering dinner or simply want to learn some tasty tricks, look no further…
Ingredients:
1 French Stick
2 cloves garlic, pureed
salt and pepper
150g butter
Method:
Pre-heat the oven to 180C.
Make wide diagonal cuts not quite through the bread and also one down the centre lengthways.
Beat the garlic and seasoning into the butter until soft and smooth.
Spread the garlic butter on each side of the bread slices and down the centre, keeping it in its original shape and not breaking any parts off.
Spread any remaining butter over the crust.
Wrap in tin foil and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes.
Open up the foil for the last 15 minutes to crispen up the bread.
The sit back, relax and enjoy your delicious homemade garlicky treat…
Top tip: You can freeze the bread or store in the fridge for 2 days, that’s if you’ve managed to resist…
Let us know how you get on!
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy this wonderfully potent day folks!
I love these. I also do not like mess in the kitchen. I threw all the ingredients in a gallon ziplock and shook them up. Oh and I added minced garlic. We are garlic lovers. Lol I also covered a cookie sheet with foil. No mess and more time to play with my little man.
