One of our favourite combinations at The Avenue, is Honeycomb and Ice Cream. They just go so unbelievably well together, so we thought we’d share our simple but delicious honeycomb recipe for you…
35g golden syrup
1 heaped tsp bicarbonate of soda
Melt the sugar and syrup in a large pan until it becomes a liquid.
Quickly remove from the heat and sprinkle the bicarbonate of soda over the top.
With a large metal spoon, stir the mixture.
It will start to grow in volume in the pan, so make sure you use a large pan!
Stop stirring when the mixture is half way up the pan, before pouring onto baking parchment and leaving to cool and set.
Sprinkle on top or mix into vanilla ice cream for a summery treat! 🤤
