You may have been eyeing up our intensive 1-week Really Useful Course or 2-week Basic to Brilliant Course on our website, but couldn’t get the time off work or thought a full week or 2 at once would be too much to take in! Well we understand that this may not suit everyone so we have decided to run the same course but one day each month so everyone can fit in with your busy schedule or desired way of learning. Welcome our our Monthly Basic Weekend Course!
This course will run on the last Sunday of every month from February – June 2020 and will be followed by our Intermediate Weekend Course from July – November (see here).
Our Monthly Basic Weekend Course has been designed to guide completely inexperienced cooks through a selection of well planned, transferable recipes and techniques! You will be hands-on whilst in the kitchen, no hiding behind our chefs demonstrations, however they will be at your side should you need any help at a moments notice.
Each day will have 2 demonstrations, one in the morning and one at the start of the afternoon, followed by cooking. The best bit, once you have finished cooking you get to eat EVERYTHING you cook, so wear something comfy as the food coma might hit on the tube home!
Our teaching method is to teach a true understanding of food so that you won’t need a recipe in order to cook but can use recipes as inspriation. You’ll be amazed at what you are a capable of!
By the 4th week we will have trained you up to the capability of hosting a dinner party. So, everyone attending will be given the option to invite a couple of friends or family to show off their new found skills and, with the guidance of the chefs, host a dinner party in our kitchens!
If you are an old or young Londoner keen to dust off the pans you were bought as a moving in present 6 years ago, a parent looking to brush off home-taught bad habits, a nanny who is keen to learn the basics, or a young professional who can’t afford to keep up with your deliveroo obsession – this is the course for you!
