Are you already a competent cook and have the basics covered but bored of your selection of recipes and keen to learn new skills in the kitchen? If this sounds like you, come and join us for 5 full days on the last Sunday of every month from July – Nov 2020 and go from a humble home cook to a star worthy chef in just a few months!

Vegetarian, LF and GF dietary requirements can be catered for on request, but time restraints mean meal alternatives will not be covered in the demonstrations


Perhaps you have already attended our Monthly Basic Weekend Course (see here) and are now looking for the next stage in your culinary adventure, or maybe you are just already a good cook but hoping to go from good to Masterchef worthy. Well whatever the reason, and if you already have a solid foundation of cookery (if in doubt ask), then our Monthly Intermediate Weekend Course is for you.

This course will run the last Sunday of every month from July until November 2020.

On the first Sunday of this 5 day course we will recap on your knife skills and other important skills you should have already obtained, along with some new tips and tricks you will need to further your culinary experiences! Each day will then take you ono a further culinary journey developing new skills and furthering your cooking repertoire. Every day you will watch both a morning and afternoon demonstration, which will then follow with you putting those skills to action. From a Thai and Moroccan day to a meat and fish day you will cover a vast range of new foods and skills. WE are ready to take your kitchen confidence to the next level, are YOU?!

Here at The Avenue we don’t just teach our students how to follow a recipe we teach you to have confidence in your cooking ability! Cooking is all about understanding food, so by the end you should simply be gaining inspiration from cookbooks rather than just following them word for word.

Our teaching style is fluid and flexible so we are sure to fill any gaps in your pre-existing knowledge! This course really is a great course and we hope you are ready to ramp your cooking skills up a notch and join us! Chefs assemble!
