Meet Daisy – March 2025’s Amigo of The Month! From student to superstar! Daisy started in our classes and is now part of our team!

How did you hear about The Avenue?
Haha, it’s quite funny – one of my teachers at school told me and my mum about it. Her children were constantly arguing! And she made them go to a class so they had to get along and work as a team! Amazing parenting if we do say so!
How long have you been joining classes?
I’ve been going to classes for a while but interning with you guys since September 2024 and I’ve loved it!! We’ve loved having you!!

Which classes have you done?
So many I’ve lost track! I’ve done the Pizza Workshop, the Pasta Workshop, Brunch Class, Korean Class, Sushi Workshop, Knife Skills, Bread Class and a few others which I can’t remember! An expert then!

What’s your favourite Class at The Avenue?
Again, there are so many it’s really hard to choose one! I love Mexican Class, the Perfect Roast Class, but I think my favourite is Sushi & Cocktails because everyone’s having a really fun time and there’s always a really nice vibe and I learn lots at the same time.
What’s your favourite dish to cook that you learnt with us?
It might be a bit boring but I think I’d have to say the roast because it’s so delicious and I’ve learned so many great tips! Nothing boring about The Avenue Roast!
What was your favourite dish to eat at The Avenue?
It’s not very exotic but I think the Chicken Pie, because it’s not nearly as difficult as I make it seem in my head, and it really comes in handy if you’re in the mood for some comfort food and because it’s so yummy!! Sometimes the best things in life are the most simple
What is the most obscure thing you have made in the kitchen?
On my first day I had to make Charlie Bigham’s Chicken Tikka Masala, and I think I went about it in quite a roundabout way but it tasted really nice.
What class would you like to do in the future?
I really want to do the Bao Class – I made my mum get a basket steamer because I wanted to make them at home but I’ve totally forgotten!! I’d also love to do the Indian Class and learn more about curry’s, and Italian Class because it sounds really fun. Let’s not let that steamer gather dust!
Any final comments?
I love working at the Avenue, I’ve had so much fun and have and am learning so much!

We love having you. It’s always a joy when you’re in the kitchen, you’re not just a great student, but an even better cook! ️‍ Can’t wait to see what you whip up next!
